The PADI Divemaster course is the first step towards a professional career. This course is very intense and must be personalized to meet your actual expectations, whether you want to complete your knowledge as a diver or you truly want to start training to be a future PADI instructor.
This course will allow you to increase your general knowledge of diving and the water environment and more specifically of physics, physiology, equipment, diving tables, and decompression theory. You will also learn how to supervise students in a course in the presence of an instructor and how to accompany certified divers underwater as the dive leader in a group. During this course, you will develop your underwater adaptation skills and master the set of qualities needed to supervise divers of all levels. You will have to undertake a rescue at sea, manage problems, deal with emergencies and stress situations, draw an underwater map, etc....
With a PADI Divemaster certification, you will become a Level 1 professional. That also confers on you the status of a PADI member and gains you access to continuous updates concerning training curricula and technologies. The Divemaster qualification allows you to continue your training and enroll in the following PADI courses: Assistant Instructor, Instructor, or Emergency First Response Instructor.
Prerequisites: - Being certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water diver (or equivalent) - Being certified as a PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent) - Having 40 logged dives since the beginning of the training - Having 60 logged dives from the moment of the certification, including dives done in the course of the various training programs
