As for any training course, the status of Emergency First Response Instructor allows you to offer additional courses to your diving students and to possess an interesting qualification for yourself and for PADI centres and resorts where you wish to work.
Under the direction of a Course Director, you will learn to teach the Emergency First Response "Primary Care" (CPR) and Emergency First Response "Secondary Care" (First Aid) courses. You will learn to teach the theoretical foundation and the necessary techniques of handling emergency situations, especially in demonstrating all of the exercises required of course participants. You will learn in particular how to do the recommended exercises involving usage of the Automated External Defibrillator (DEA), oxygen therapy equipment, and the treatment of a conscious adult who is choking.
