PADI Master Instructors are known as being part of the elite of diving instructors. They have demonstrated a deep understanding of the PADI system of dive instruction and have very significant experience running the set of programs and courses. PADI Master Instructors are a part of the PADI Master Instructor Review Committee and are consulted concerning changes made to PADI courses and standards.
In order to request the level of PADI Master Instructor, it is necessary to meet the following conditions: - To be a renewed, teaching status IDC Staff Instructor - To have been a PADI Instructor for at least two years - To be an Emergency First Response Instructor on teaching status - To have certified no less than 150 PADI divers (of which 50 are Adventure divers or higher, 15 PADI Specialty Divers, 5 PADI Rescue Divers, 5 PADI Divemasters, and 5 PADI Assistant Instructors) - To have trained at least 10 students for Emergency First Response - To have a complete understanding of the PADI system of training divers - To meet all other ethical conditions established by PADI
